Temporary Workers Rights Course – November 18th, 2016

Vancouver Local Union Hall – 4530 Dawson St., Burnaby, BC

By Skytrain: 1.5 blocks south of Brentwood Skytrain down the stairs off Willingdon Ave.

By Car: turn right down the ramp (after the shop fronts) on Dawson St. to the back of the building

Application Deadline: Friday, November 04th, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. (noon)

Are you interested in learning what your rights are and how to understand the Collective Agreement? What do all those rights mean and how to apply them in real life situations? How does Canada Post typically abuse and take advantage of Temporary workers rights? You will learn about the contractual obligations surrounding Temporary Workers and the role of the Union on the work floor. You will learn to better understand Canada Post’s agenda and what that means for you and your future with Canada Post.

**Priority will be given to those who are new to Canada Post. **

No Pre-requisite required to attend this course.

Please complete an education application form and mail, fax (604-685-4931), or drop it off at the Hall, to the attention of Stefanie Neumann, Education Director

You will be booked off for your entire shift if you’re regularly scheduled to work on course day. Please ensure your course application includes your regularly scheduled shift, RDOs, and work area or depot.
