Workers at the IKEA location in Richmond have been locked out since May 17th of this year. This Company has been profitable for many years and has been expanding across the globe.
This employer is now asking for major Roll Backs even though this has been a profitable location for IKEA. It has been so profitable that over the last few years they have built a larger store in this location.
When we were locked out, many Unions showed up at our lines to help keep our spirits strong. We need to do the same for these workers.
Please do the following things:
- Do not buy anything from IKEA, either on-line or in another store
- Talk to your friends and neighbours about the way this employer is trying to roll back wages and benefits of these workers
