Postal Transformation (PT): Bidding Process for the Move to the PPC

On Wednesday, July 31, 2013, the Local met with the shop stewards for the internal members to discuss and come to an understanding of what would be the fairest way to proceed with a bid on the positions in the Pacific Processing Plant (PPC).

RISE UP OR FALL TO ASHES PART 2

Canada Post would have you believe the future of our post office is in jeopardy.  That the erosion of letter mail, coupled with increasing wages, benefits, the instability in the global markets, and escalations in operational costs will force them to protect their interests.  The Corporation will smother us in a blanket of never-ending cut backs in jobs and service. MSC Restructure Update – Depot 74/99

The Union met with management on July 31, 2013, to review if any progress had been made with the restructure of the Depot 74 drivers. At the end of the meeting, management was forced to agree (based on what is happening with the letter carrier restructure in Depot 74) that it was too early to feel certain that all the work has been added to the MSC routes.

Postal Transformation and Job Security

One of the concerns that members are talking about is whether they will have a job after we move to the new processing plant in Richmond.

Members should not worry about job security. Every regular member currently employed by Canada Post will have a job when we move.
