Shift Bid 2009

The Local has requested a Shift Bid for the VMPP. The process is underway, but with a few stumbling blocks created by management.

In advance of our first scheduled meeting we requested documents outlining the Corporation’s intentions, specific to all affected sections within the Plant. This is a preface to any meaningful consultation. Nothing was provided to the Union that gave any indication of management’s plans. If the Corporation provided the requested information that would have given the Union a picture of what management’s intentions are for the Shift Bid, then we would be able to begin the consultation process.
