We are looking for volunteers to represent CUPW at the upcoming Trans March on August 1st, and Dyke March on August 2nd.
This is an opportunity to demonstrate the Vancouver Locals unwavering support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and advocate for important postal issues.
The Trans March is more than just a parade, it is a protest. It has been a challenging year for the trans community, and we are calling on all CUPW allies to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our trans siblings. Your presence will send a powerful message of solidarity and allyship on behalf of our union.
The Dyke March will be another impactful opportunity where we can show support and engage with our community. CUPW will be hosting a table at the Dyke March, and will need a minimum of four volunteers, but the more the merrier, and better!
This is an excellent opportunity to:
* Engage with our neighbours to discuss pressing postal issues
* Hand out CUPW swag
* Do a live art project for the events
