Postal Transformation (PT) News: CPC’s Path to Its Own Annihilation?

CPC’s Path to Its Own Annihilation?

As Canada Post transitions from our current business model – one of great historical relevance and prosperity, to one that erodes service standards and deprives Canadians of a service to which they deserve and are entitled – The Five Point Plan; the future landscape for all remains unclear.

The senior management of Canada Post, in a typical oligarch fashion, decides the fate of its customers and of its workers with a sense of callous indifference. They seem so far out of touch with reality and they lack the insight to appreciate the wants and needs of everyone affected by these nefarious changes, almost like they live in a self enclosed bubble. More and more frequently, management appears to be oblivious, or unplugged as they proceed myopically in a reckless fashion.

It is for these reasons the Vancouver Local has embarked on an aggressive information and education campaign in an attempt to inoculate our members with the material to assist in the fight back of this reckless and self destructive restructuring of this proud and respected Canadian institution.

Over the next 18 months as postal transformation encroaches upon our doorstep, various representatives experienced in route measurement will be putting on information seminars and holding floor talks in each depot/installation as a restructure nears. The current schedule is:

Remember, this Union is comprised of all of us and we all have an even stake in the preservation of service to the Canadian public and our jobs. The two most important things we need to understand are;
1. We can win this fight!
2. We can’t win this fight without you!
