Picket Captain Training

Picket Captain Training

If you are interested in becoming a Picket Captain or finding out what is involved in becoming a Picket Captain, please come to one of the following sessions.  These sessions should take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and we will have some coffee, tea and cookies on hand to wet our whistles while we share information and get the low down on becoming a Picket Captain.

These are the upcoming dates for Picket Captain Training sessions which will be held in the board room at our ‘new’ Union Hall.
(4530 Dawson Street, Burnaby)

February 9 @ 4:30pm

February 16 @ 9:00am

February 20  @ 9:30am

We will go through our Picket Captain guide and briefly discuss negotiations, further organizational preparations as time allows. Please come prepared with your picket ‘captaining’ questions.  As my email list is limited, please feel free to forward this email to local CUPW members who may be a picket captain or interested in becoming one. 🙂

*Please note; This is not a general open strike preparation committee meeting, we will be having one of those before our next (February) General Membership Meeting – this is specifically orientation for Picket Captains or potential picket captains.

In Solidarity,
Janet Askin
